Primitive War - A Novel about Vietnam, Dinosaurs, and War

Howdy all, my name is Ethan Pettus and I recently published my first novel, Primitive War. 

Primitive War began as an episodic story featured on the as-of-now defunct Jurassic Park Legacy forums. The original version of the story began in 2011 under the name Hunted, with readers submitting their own characters that would partake in the storyline. 

Primitive War follows the journey of an elite search-and-rescue team known as Vulture Squad as they venture deep into the darkest confines of war-torn Vietnam in search of a Green Beret platoon that went missing while investigating a Soviet machine known as the 'Collider'.

Michael Crichton was one of my greatest influences while writing this novel, yet the true vein of the story doesn't lie in the sci-fi, but rather the human mind in times of war. The characters deal with addictions, mental illness, and their own personal struggles as they fight to survive...the Primitive War.

This novel is the first in a trilogy, with the sequel coming out either late 2018 or early 2019. I'm currently working my way through the sequel, which is set in an African civil war circa 1975. 

Between the release of the first and second novels, I'll be releasing short stories that bridge the events of that transpire with the emergence of dinosaurs in the world. With each short story I'll be releasing artwork created by my partner on this project, the incredibly talented Raph Lomaton.
