The nest was upwind and so was he. The Carnotaurs new he was their and he didn't stand a chance. The Red with black striped dinosaur slowly approached sniffing the air to get the exact location. Muldoon whispered to Rick "Listen I'm going to fire my gun to destract it. As soon as I do run and don't look back." Rick nodded in approval. Muldoon raised the gun and shot. The Carnotaur roared in frustration. Muldoon and Rick took of running. He fired his AR back at the Carnotaurs, but that only seemed to make it more mad. Then Rick tripped. He must have broken his foot because he screamed in agony. Muldoon turned around and ran to Ricks assistance. The Carnotaur was right about to reach him when Muldoon fired his shotgun at the Carnotaurs head. It roared and shook its head trying to end the pain. It slammed into a tree and knocked itself unconscience. This was their chance. The female was still guarding the nest. Muldoon slung Rick over his soldier and ran over to the jeep. Harding took a look at Ricks foot. It was badly sprained and he was in no shape to walk. Jess got some bubble wrap from the first aid kit and some masking tape and made him an artificial cast. "Your pretty handy Jess" Muldoon said "Yeah my dad showed me all I know. I want to be a veterinarian like him, but I know a thing or two about how to heal a broken foot." Exclaimed Jess. She smiled a bit. That was the first someone had smiled here in days.
As they drove Muldoon found a rest area. It was by the Brachiosaurus exibit. Their was a cliff overlooking the paddock. Their were binoculars to see inside, a restroom, a few benches and a maintenece shed. Muldoon and Rick started a fire to keep the dinosaurs away and Jess checked Arnolds wounds. Nedry and Henry went into the Maintence shed, but the phone didn't work. Luckily their were a few stacks of hay they could lay out to sleep on. Everyone went into the shed and layers down to get some sleep. They went to sleep to the sounds of the peaceful Brachiosaurs singing.
They awoke to a banging sound coming from outside the shed. Muldoon loaded his shotgun. Their was a little slot on the top of the door that you could open to see outside. Muldoon opened it an inch and outside a Brachiosaur was trying to eat some ferns on the other side of the guard rail. Muldoon opened the door and told everyone it was ok. The whole scene was amazing. The sun was rising and their was a valley full of dinosaurs below. Their was a herd of Brachiosaurs, the herd of Triceratops they saw earlier, Parasaurs swimming in the lake, Gallimumus flocking and a combined group of Ankylosaurs and Stegosaurs. Jess was petting the Brachiosaurus and it seemed to like it. She said it was sort of like a big cow. Then Muldoon noticed something in the water. A large purple sail rose up like a shark fin and and large crocodile like creature came up and grabbed a Parasaur and dragged it under the water. "My god it's a Spinosaurus said Wu. We thought it was just a growth problem with the DNA but the Baryonyx is actually a Spinosaurus. The rest of herd ran away and gathered with the Brachiosaur group. The Spinosaurus walked out of the water with the Parasaur carcass in its jaws and carried it into the jungle. Muldoon and Rick walked back into the maintenance shed. Their where a few flashlights, walkie talkies, and shot gun ammo. Muldoon stocked up and put them in the trunk of the jeep. Their also happened to be several pieces of fruit that would have been given to the visitors to feed the Brachiosaurs. Everyone grabbed some and got in the jeep. Wu and Nedry connected the radios to the jeep and gave Muldoon, and Gerry one keeping one for themselves. Then, their was a loud vibration and the Tyrannosaur emerged from the trees.
